Not much to see in the dark but crossing the sea at night is a moving experience (no pun intended). The sound of the ship's engines combined with the sound of the water makes me realize how fragile life is.

Sulfur springs on Kyushu Island
Often referred to as "hell" the sulfur springs are part of an active volcanic system. Kyushu Island has some of the most active volcano's in Japan.
