Ehime Prefectural Office

In the center of Matsuyama lies Ehime Prefectural Office. This is the center of the prefecture’s government. The building itself is open to the public and it is a nice insight into how Japanese government works. There are meeting rooms for officials and offices where employees work Japanese style, side by side. This is a good place to find local information. Part of the office’s responsibility is to promote Ehime Prefecture for commerce, tourism and education on the history of how Ehime prefecture came to be, along with the history of Shikoku Island and how Ehime Prefecture was formed from feudal times.
