I fell in love with Japanese trains my first visit in 1995. It was my first time on the bullet train and seeing Mount Fuji in the distance is something I will always remember.

At that time I also took a much smaller and older rail line to Kamakura. The rail line literally ran through the backyards of homes with little crossing gates along the way.
