Uji Bridge

Ujibashi Bridge, along with Karahashi Bridge in Seta and Yamazaki Bridge, is one of the three oldest bridges in Japan. It is said to have first been erected in 646 by Doto, a priest of Gango Temple in Nara. This graceful bridge blends in with the beautiful mountains around the Uji River.

Symbol of Nara

Cities in Japan have their own, unique mascots, this is Nara's. It combines a Buddhist Monk with deer antlers. Nara is famous for its Temples, Shrines and park where deer reside. The deer are considered sacred and roam freely. They attract the attention of visitors and are considered tame. This symbol was created to help celebrate Nara's 13th century anniversary, arriving in 2010.

Bus ride from Itami Airport to JR Nara Station

Riding in a Japanese Taxi is like taking a drive with your favorite Uncle. The Taxi Drivers engage you in a conversation. Every Taxi Driver I've met has been quite friendly and interesting. They want to know who you are and where you're from. They always ask questions and will answer any question you may have with knowledge and experience.
